Synopsis
Johan's story is the title of a booklet that is aimed at young people, but also offers adults a concise story about the former colony of the Dutch East Indies and the course and aftermath of the Second World War in Asia. History is told with the story of the young navy man Johan Willem Schram (1918 - 1993), who was taken to Nagasaki in Japan as a prisoner of war during the war and had to work there as a forced laborer for three years. He experienced the fall of the atomic bomb and survived. Finally, the booklet pays attention to the process of processing and commemorating events as described in this booklet.
